When I was pregnant every trimester was a huge stepping stone, I thought 'three months down, another three (or six) to go!' I really felt like I was changing a lot, and he was getting bigger. Now he's out, and the same amount of time has past as in a trimester. This time I'm not the one growing but he sure is! I don't feel like he has slowed down at all!
Michael's fun facts:
He tries to have conversations with us. If I say "hi" he makes a little squawk back. He rarely talks to himself unless one of us are talking to him. He has learning to wait until we stop talking to him to respond. Of course nothing makes sense, except we think he understands "hi" because his response is short and has an 'I' vowel in it.
He has become very dependent. He is fine to hang out and look around if Josh or I have homework to finish. We leave him in his crib at night and he usually falls asleep without any rocking or singing.
He loves strangers. He is really interested in people he doesn't see very often, or has never seen before. Our friends watch him while I have class on Wednesday nights and he loves to see them!
He loves other babies. We have two friends with babies, one is 8 months older than him and the other is a month and a half older. He smiles every time he sees them.
He is gaining head control. Soon he will be sitting up on his own. So far he's managed to sit up by himself for 2 seconds before falling
He still laughs and smiles at us all the time
He is in 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers (which are the worst diapers except newborn and I can't wait to get him out of them)
He isn't picky. He will wear any kind of diaper. He will eat from me or take a bottle, and will take any formula.
He has set himself on a schedule, but he isn't too upset if we change it for a day or two, like we do on weekends.
Bring on the burp cloths! He drools like crazy!
Selfishyly, I hope his growing slows down a little bit. Michael is no longer an infant, he is a baby, and soon will be a toddler!
